![]() ![]() So I've confirmed that when I connect the camera to the Mac, Aperture pops up with a window to do the import. I really only need to do this once as the video on my DSLR is of better quality, and Aperture imports it without fuss. There are a few free converters out there, so may try another one too to determine what will result in the best quality. I will retest this again once I'm complete, but I have a feeling that this isnt the end of the story. On playing back the clips, my concern is that they are not of the same quality as the original file and at times the audio seems to lag. I did a quick test import and Aperture sees all of the videos instantly. THis certainly works - I am about halfway through converting them to. I've gone with an alternate option of using a free converter called M2TS Converter. If I use the standard method of clicking the IMPORT button and pointing it to the folder containing the. ![]() I can only think that there must be some other way of importing. Yep, according to the article, I should have no issues. I'd prefer to buy the right tool first time out. I have tried a few converters etc already, and don't mind paying, but would appreciate advice from anyone who has been faced with a similar issue. The question.any ideas to get my video files accessible in one place along with my photos? Do I need to try to convert them all to an alternate format that Aperture will open? Will Lightroom 4 do everything I want? Is there something else I should be looking at? These appear to be unreadable by aperture so I'm wondering what it the best way to work with these? I probably have around 3,000 files, organised by date but in subfolders within my photo folders. So to the issue.I have a number of AVCHD format files all with the extension. Aperture also seems to work fine for the video files output from my dslr. All my photos and backups are sorted out. I've been using and getting used to the Mac and Aperture over the last few weeks since my switch over from the pc. ![]()
